This siren module "Little Terror Box" is developed together with Dominik from Niederrhein Bikes. The housings are 3d printed. The module is available from Januar 2023.
The original HD siren modules have the problem, that the internal 9 Volt battery is be continous charged from the bike battery, follwing that it drain the bike battery if you don´t ride your bike frequently. The Little Terror Box have a standby current of below 200 uA, resulting that the discharge time of the bike battery is about 5 times longer compare to the original siren module. An install a cheap standard 9 Volt battery in the Little Terror Box instead of an expensive rechargeable battery is recommended, cause the module draw no current from the 9 Volt battery as long as the module is connected to the bike battery. The standard 9 batteries have a lifetime between 4 and 7 years, depending of the type and brand what reduces the cost of a defect rechargeable battery after a few years.
