Almost all control boxes on the market have no input for the neutral switch and the side stand switch. This makes it possible to start the bike when a gear is engaged or it can be started with a folded out side stand. This can cause to unpleasant accidents.
The safety module check the 2 inputs for the neutral and sidestand switch and enables the start output when the neutral switch is closed, i.e. no gear is selected. The sidestand switch is also be checked. The ignition is switched off as long as a gear is engaged and the sidestand switch is open. The ignition remains on if the sidestand switch is closed.
A few bikes have the sidestand switch open when it is in "run" position. In this case you can wire the brown cable to ground and the ignition will stay on if the sidestand switch is open and switches off if the sidestand switch is closed.
This waterproof encapsulated safety module is much smaller and more reliable than the traditional hand-wired solution with 2 diodes and a relay. It can be used for all control boxes on the market what have no inputs for the side stand switch and neutral switch.
